Overview
LDS has provided high quality OS/2 based solutions since 1992. It looks like this tradition will not end anytime soon. LDS is now partnered with the developers of eComStation (eCS) which is the continuation of the IBM OS/2 product line. Following is our standard workstation preload proposal which serves as a great starting point to fine tune a system which will meet and exceed your organization's OS/2 requirements.

UltiVist Server and Workstation Configuration
LDS has developed a configuration which works very well to run UltiVist - both Server and Workstation. UltiVist seems to require this specific and hard-to-find configuration. For our UltiVist Server configuration, the preload is identical to our standard preload. For UltiVist Workstation, however, we do two separate full OS/2 installations: OS/2 Warp 4 with all of the latest updates on the C: partition and eCS 1.2R on the D: partition. UltiVist Workstation requires the 16-bit TCP/IP stack in the original OS/2 Warp 4, and will not run with the newer 32-bit TCP/IP stack. Our clients have found the eCS 1.2R installation on the D: partition useful for accessing USB storage devices which OS/2 Warp 4 can not support.
